My Haircare Routine & Favourite Products

In this week's video I will do a bit of a show and tell about my favourite haircare products as it is quite a highly requested video :)

I am in no way saying my hair is healthy or long and luscious haha, I actually have extremely fine and fragile hair so I hope this may be a little helpful for some of you!
Please comment with any of your favourite hair products as I love receiving recommendations and finding new loves :D

The Botanist, Chester ❀

The Botanist is, hands down, my new very favourite restaurant. The decor is absolutely spot on & is so beautiful and fresh, the music is also really great - playing all the 90s classics and they even have a live performance every evening in the bar. The drinks are out of this world! The drinks menu is really fantastic, I had a non-alcoholic cocktail comprising of mint, violet and jasmine syrup with apple juice, lime juice and soda water. Called 'Violet and Jasmine Crush' is was perfection.
Now moving onto the best part - the food! Presentation alone, it's fantastic. Being a recent convert to vegetarianism, I can often find it really difficult to choose a meal on the menu, but here I was spoilt for choice! We started with sharing a Home Made Humous Board with crudites & flatbread. It was gorgeous (and didn't feel guilty at all because it looked & tasted healthy).
For mains... WOW. We both had Hanging Kebabs sopped with sweet chilli, ginger & garlic butter, with seasoned fries. Danny had chicken and I had halloumi & vegetables. I can't even describe how amazing this was, the sauce was poured down the top of the kebab so it dripped down, gathering flavour, onto the bowl of heavenly seasoned fries. The flavour was absolutely gorgeous!
Definitely check it out if you're in Chester, I hear the breakfasts and lunches are just as lovely too! It's on St Werburgh Street - just next to the Cathedral.

May Favourites

The one (and only) perk of being on a 'spending ban' is that you get to rediscover old loves and use up any products you might have lying around. Throughout May I really enjoyed using products that I'd forgotten about, but managed to find a new nail polish obsession, as each new month brings a new Essie colour.

Firstly I rediscovered the Maybelline 24 hour colour tattoo in shade Pink Gold. I was obsessed with this during autumn and now I remember why. It's such a lovely wash of colour for the eyes and has looked really pretty and fresh during Spring.

I bought the Sleek Blush By 3 palette in Californ.i.a  mid-April and pretty much haven't worn anything else on the cheeks since. Firstly, the cream consistency is gorgeous and looks so fresh and rejuvenating. Secondly, the colours are so beautiful, I adore peaches and corals for Spring. Then there's the lasting power... Wow! All day.
Seriously!

For lips, I really enjoyed the Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Coquette. Which is a lovely splash of colour that you can build up to whatever intensity you prefer. Really hydrating too!

I couldn't choose a favourite nail polish, but I loved Essie 'Mint Candy Apple' and 'Rock The Boat' and I think they look really cute together actually.

Massive shout out to Lush Rehab Shampoo! This has changed my hair completely and has really helped it grow.

I also notice a huge difference in volume and texture when I use the Toni & Guy Seasalt Texturizing Spray. God send.

I'm going to throw in a book I haven't been able to put down 'The Hobbit'. I read it as a child and I'm really enjoying it at the moment!

What were you loving in May? x
