Monthly Summary : February

Gosh! Where has the month gone? I know February is the shortest month of the year anyway, but it's March tomorrow and it only feels like yesterday we were taking the Christmas tree down!
I got up to quite a few nice things this month - my sister and I went to London to see The Royal Ballet perform Swan Lake and it was also my cousin's wedding, which was a beautiful occasion.

What lovely things did you get up to in February?

Get Ready With Me : Wedding Guest Edition

For my cousin's wedding last weekend, I wanted to keep everything quite simple yet elegant and classic. I chose this beautiful Audrey Hepburn style dress from Lindy Bop which is absolutely stunning, fits really well and is great quality; I am definitely going to buy more of these dresses because I think they are lovely!
I kept my makeup quite classic, with winged liner, a simple rose blush and dark plum lip.
I was originally going to have my hair down with a side part and big curls, but it started to hail storm so I pinned it back into a low messy chignon.

What's In My Bath : Amandopondo Bubble Bar

Amandopondo is a very sweet and uplifting Bubble Bar, made with rose absolute and citrus oils to restore and rebalance. Crumble under hot running water to create lots of cheerful bubbles for a relaxing bubble bath.

An Evening at The Royal Ballet

Earlier this week, my sister and I had the pleasure of attending the Opening Night of Swan Lake, at The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. It was one of the most magical nights of my life which I will always treasure...
The evening began at our hotel room at The Sloane Square Hotel, where we had a lovely pamper and enjoyed getting all dolled up before jumping in a taxi to Covent Garden, where we had dinner at Balthazar before the ballet.
I couldn't believe the opulence of the entire evening, The Royal Opera House is like being taken to a totally different world. The ballet itself was so exquisite; the costumes, the music and pure beauty of the ballerinas.
The next day we had breakfast at The Wolseley and enjoyed an afternoon at The National Portrait Gallery and The Natural History Museum.
I will be uploading a Vlog of our trip on my YouTube channel tomorrow, so be sure to pop back if you'd like to see it :)

My Favourite Perfume : Iris Prima

I received this exquisite bottle of perfume, Iris Prima, as a Christmas present from my sister. Coincidentally, I had bought her tickets for us both to attend the Opening Night of Swan Lake, by The Royal Ballet in Covent Garden. We both adore the ballet, and this beautiful perfume is something we have both been coveting for a long time. It is one of the loveliest presents I have ever received and it is extremely precious to me.

"A fresh and transparent bergamot opens the dance: its citrus freshness mimicking the graceful flight of the prima ballerina as she leaps into the spotlight. Green amber softens the effect and contrasts with sparkling pink pepper, which resonates like the steps of the ballerina on pointe. Iris soon takes centre stage, eclipsing all around her with her natural grace and powdery charm, until she begins a sensuous pas de deux with potent Jasmine Sambac. In the base, Alberto introduces an intimate, musky leather note to represent the pointe shoe and then light touches of sandalwood, vetiver, vanilla and benzoin to signify the soul of ancient theatres."

We had a magical evening at The Royal Opera House, and I shall be writing a post with lots of photos of our night which I'll upload tomorrow... Along with a Vlog on Sunday so please do check back for those.

What's in My Bath? Lush : Northern Lights

Oh how I wish this wasn't Limited Edition! The Northern Lights bath bomb was from the Halloween collection and it's one of my absolute favourites. Filled with little sparkly stars and an array of colours, the relaxing lavender and ylang ylang scented dream is sure to calm you down on a cold Sunday evening...
