Lush Halloween 2016

There are certain elements about the changing of season that I absolutely love; Autumn to me means Pumpkin Spiced Lattes, cosy knitted jumpers, ankle boots and wooly socks, and of course, the Lush Halloween range.

This year's collection is as exciting as ever, and I was very kindly invited to the Lush Spa Liverpool Blogger's event to preview the products and have a good a good play with them.

The Halloween range includes:
The Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar is such a festive and happy treat. It doesn't smell of pumpkins at all, quite the opposite, uplifting and refreshing lime oil and grapefruit oil compliments the vibrant orange colour the bubble bar turns the bath water as you crumble it under the hot tap. A mountain of bubbles are created and yep, a ton of shimmery glitter!
The Autumn Leaf bath bomb was probably my most anticipated - brand new for 2016, it contains the same scent as the Grass shower gel, bubble bar, and green bubbleroon. Which sadly are all discontinued, so I was very excited to try this. As the beautifully scented bath bomb fizzes away, it changes colours from green to yellow to red.
The Lord of Misrule bath bomb returns for another year. The exotic and earthy aroma of patchouli oil and spicy and clarifying black pepper oil make this bath bomb a very warming treat for a cosy autumnal evening. Lord of Misrule has a deep green exterior that slowly froths away, popping candy crackles to reveal a rich wine-coloured centre.
I am extremely excited to try the Monsters Ball bath bomb for myself... as you can see from the demo, it creates such spectacular bath art! Monsters Ball bath bomb comes from the same scent family as Calacas, and contains uplifting and protecting lime oil, uplifting and toning neroli oil, toning and relaxing oilibanum oil, and softening and conditioning Fair Trade organic cocoa butter.
The Pumpkin bath bomb is again brand new for 2016, and this one DOES smell like a pumpkin... pumpkin pie to be exact. Sweet and comforting vanilla absolute and spicy cinnamon evoke the rich biscuity fragrance of home-baking.
Goth Fairy shimmer bar contains hydrating almond oil, and uplifting and refreshing grapefruit oil. As illipe and cupuacu butters gently melt over the body, they soften the skin and leave the fruity scent of almond, grapefruit and bergamot.
The Boo bath melt contains Fair Trade organic cocoa butter which melts away leaving skin feeling softer. Grounding sandalwood combines with vivid Sicilian mandarin oil to make you feel spooktacular.

Fireside soap smells like the warmth off bonfires and stoked hearths of Christmastime. It carries the spice of clove bud with the sweetness of vanilla.

Magic Wand soap contains uplifting tangerine oil, and absorbent charcoal and extra virgin coconut oil ensure that your skin feels squeaky clean.
Lord of Misrule shower cream is a real feast for the senses! The herbal blend of patchouli, peppercorn and black pepper compliments the vanilla absolute sweetness. As you lather this on the body, organic wheatgerm oil provides a rich and creamy feel to ensure skin is enriched.

Lush Cocktail : The Sweetest Thing

So before my Blog, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube explodes with the Lush Halloween + Christmas ranges, I thought I'd share my last little Lush Cocktail of summer...
This cocktail is made up from the Sweetest Thing gift set - and includes The Comforter Shower Cream, Pink Fun, and the Think Pink bath bomb.

I'm going to begin with the Pink Fun...
I think this smells like vanilla and sweets, which comes from tonka absolute, adding a warm caramel note. This gentle 4-in-1 product can be used as a solid shampoo, bubble bar, soap, or for play. I prefer to crumble a small piece under running water for a bubble bath. As you can see it creates a mountain of bubbles.

Next, The Comforter Shower Cream...
The blend of sweet cassis absolute, uplifting bergamot and assuring cypress essential oils create a blackcurrant aroma that's like being wrapped in a snug hug. This is extremely comforting, it doesn't add too many bubbles because it's a shower cream, but it creates a soothing scent to the cocktail.

And finally, I'm going to pop the Think Pink bath bomb into the bath...
This pretty little bath bomb is so lovely and uplifting. Pop it into warm water and revel in the pink sweet tonka and comforting Fair Trade vanilla water that unfolds. A sunny note of neroli oil compliments soothing lavender to create a cheerful, yet calming soak. As the vibrant bath bomb fizzes away, turning the bath water a bright pink, it also leaves behind tiny little love hearts!

The super-sweet trio of pink products will add a bubblegum scented element to the bath and is a perfect cocktail for those that love the saccharine Lush scents.

September Wish List

The transition from summer to autumn is one of my favourite times of the year to update my wardrobe. Although I'm not quite ready to indulge in full-on chunky knits and burgundys, I've found quite a few pieces to carry the floral and embroidered trends I've been loving through to the new season.
