Chasing the Sunshine

Along with warmer weather, May brings the glorious rolling fields of bright yellow rapeseed. And so I went in search of the sunshine in the perfect cotton sun dress to frolic through the fields in.
I am trying to dress more grown-up lately, however I'm still a sucker for white cotton, ruffles and crochet. I think there's a Lolita element to this sweet little sun dress, and it also gives the illusion of a somewhat tanned complexion (I assure you, I am not).
Of course I've paired it with my summer essential - the basket bag. I think white cotton and tan wicker go perfectly hand-in-hand to create a classic British countryside look.
If I knew I'd have been skipping through rapeseed fields, I probably would have worn converse with this outfit. However, as the plan was to find a cute little gate to pose against... I wore these tan wedges, which actually proved pretty comfortable whilst said skipping was taking place!
