Hello Sunshine!

In the last couple of weeks, it truly felt like summer had arrived in the U.K. The sun was shining, and hay fever levels continued to soar. I went on holiday to Barcelona this month and at times the weather back home rivalled the glorious Spanish sunshine.

What I enjoyed most about the mini heatwave was that I was able to wear my holiday clothes when I returned, instead of packing them away in my suitcase until the next time I ventured abroad.

One outfit I particularly enjoyed wearing both on holiday and at home was from Very's new collection, and in particular their essential sunshine accessories!
I've been packing all of my essentials (and more!) into this cute Hello Sunshine beach bag, which features a beautiful printed scarf wrapped around the handles - such a pretty detail and co-ordinates with the cheerful embroidered lettering on the front of the bag. I love how much I can fit into the basket, without compromising on style; sun cream, sunglasses, beach towel, book, jacket (because it's still Britain, ha!).
The Rayne Asymmetric sandals have been an absolute staple in my summer wardrobe, I wore them almost constantly around Barcelona and during Primavera festival and they were so comfortable! They're also super versatile - I've been wearing them with dresses, culottes, and shorts. (I also have them in brown, which you may have seen on my Instagram).
I'm a big fan of this vintage patterned Tie Front blouse - a classic holiday piece. It's bright and beautiful with flourishes of summers blooms, and slightly cropped for a super cute summer look when tied above high-waisted flared jeans.
But on this occasion, I've worn it tucked in to my High Waisted Ripped Denim Shorts - the ultimate summer staple. I think they're super flattering and emphasizes a subtle tan, giving you that sun-kissed glow. I really love white denim this season, a slight risk for someone that loves ice-cream...

The Monthly Playlist : May

May was an excellent month for music. Not only were we blessed with the brand new Arctic Monkeys album, but I also went to a music festival in Barcelona; Primavera.
It was my first festival abroad and I'm totally converted... no mud, no rain, and a comfy bed at the end of the night. I will be posting a full diary from my trip soon if you'd like to see more of what I got up to there.
I spent most of the run-up listening to old favourites from bands that were playing: Haim, Warpaint and Rolling Blackouts, to name a few. And the best part about going to a festival with a group of mates was that I discovered some brand new artists that I'd never heard of before!

Here's what I had on repeat last month:
