Yellow Gingham & Lavender

My favourite summer print is surprisingly not floral, breton, or polka dots - but gingham. It reminds me of picnics and school summer dresses. Combined with the sunshine shade of bright yellow and you've got the perfect seasonal combination.

Especially as the sun seems to have been hiding all throughout June, I decided to brighten up my wardrobe with two new additions:

The Yellow Gingham Mini Dress

The ultimate summer staple - this shouts BBQ or evening strolls on holiday. I'm praying that the weather takes a u-turn and the sunshine hits the UK so that I can wear this dream little Mango dress. I've worn it with a basket bag from Monsoon and chunky Dr Martens Clarissa II sandals for the evening but it would look cute with a pair of plimsolls for a sunny afternoon.

The Yellow Gingham Skirt

This floaty midi skirt from Very is ideal for cooler summer days and is really versatile for day or night depending on how you style it. For a casual laid-back look I've paired it with a white t-shirt and pair of Vans, but I would also wear it with a silk cami and pair of espadrille wedges in the evening.

  1. I am so obsessed with Gingham at the moment and think it's such an easy way to add a pop of colour to your wardrobe.
