Princesses, Pirates & Parades - My 30th Birthday at Disneyland

This month I decided to spend my 30th birthday in the place where children never grow up... Disneyland! I've dreamed of waking up here on my birthday ever since I was little, and as it's a very special place that my mum, sister and myself visit almost every year it seemed like the perfect place to celebrate.

It was a week filled with Princesses, Pirates & parades. I had my birthday lunch in the castle at Auberge de Cendrillon - an elegant 3 course menu with all of the Disney Princesses followed by a chocolate Mickey Mouse birthday cake. And my tea at Captain Jack's, (which surprisingly offered one of the best vegetarian meals I'd had all week!), followed by yet again another birthday cake. The night ended in the most Disney-perfect manner watching the illuminations and firework displays - pure magic.

The rest of the week was pretty much a blur of sugar-filled treats and running from one ride to the other. We had planned to go into Paris on one day, but being the big kids that we are, we woke up and decided to have an extra day in the park.

One of the highlights of the week was the offering of Mickey Mouse shaped treats, here's a round up of my favourites:

I am absolutely certain that Disney magic is still in our hearts at 30 as it was during childhood.

  3. But, international and domestic property developers have been quick to realize the enormous potential of this district, not least as it is a stone's throw from the CBD, and available at a marked discount to other more fashionable areas of the city. budapest short term rental
